Les Miserables

The musical Les Miserables is a multi-award winning adaptation of Victor Hugo's humanitarian classic about one man's determined survival in the face of relentless persecution and the triumph of the human spirit.   Set amidst the social and political struggles of nineteenth century France, Les Miserables sweeps its audience through a tale of passion and destruction against a backdrop of a nation in the grip of revolution.   After 18 years and over 7,500 performances at the Palace Theatre, Les Miserables transferred to the Queen's Theatre on 1 April 2004.   "This great musical is a masterpiece of storytelling" The Sunday Times (June 2000)   "This irresistable musical has never seemed more moving" The Daily Mail (October 2001)
